Lituus.

The parametric equations of the lituus can be given by

x=atcost,y=atsintx = \sqrt{\frac{a}{t}} \cos t, \, y= \sqrt{\frac{a}{t}} \sin t

In polar coordinates the equation of a lituus with parameter aa and center/centre (0,0)\left(0,\,0\right) is given by

r2θ=a2r^2 \theta=a^2
