The sum of the internal angles of an octagon is 1080°1080\degree.

The area of a regular octagon is given by the formula:

Area=2(1+2)a2\text{Area}=2 \left( 1+ \sqrt{2} \right) a^2

where aa is the length of the side of the regular octagon.
